The Geotech Instruments Model GPS-2 is a high-performance six-channel GPS receiver and antenna integrated into a compact, weatherproof housing. The GPS-2 provides position, velocity, and time information to a high degree of accuracy. The antenna can be 25 m away from the Control Box. The Control Box has two independent serial ports to synchronize two different instruments situated up to 100 m from the Box.
Applications include portable and permanent seismic stations and all systems requiring a low-cost, low-power, all-weather synchronized time and position source.
